A Boxing Day message to my stalker

There are some entries that I write for my eyes only, but I pray that releasing this post will bring about a learning opportunity for those that need it.

So…(*deep breath)…here goes.

Not too long ago, I had a strange feeling that there was someone lurking in my shadow. At first, I thought it was sheer paranoia on my part.

It clearly was not.

Hold On, Warrior!

Hold On, Warrior!King David has been recorded in history for his passion for God and several incredible feats.

And he definitely deserved a medal for his stellar leadership qualities. His troop of mighty warriors is proof.

It was only recently that this brief passage about one of his soldiers captured my attention:

A Year Ago Today…Jesus Healed Me!!!

QRI

O LORD my God, I called to you for help and you healed me (Psalm 30:2)

I’m so overwhelmed by the mercies of God. What a year this has been and so much to celebrate! Everything I am able to is because of His Amazing Grace! Praise God!

Towards the end of 2010, I was diagnosed with a degenerative nerve condition with no medical cure and I had multiple issues with my back and legs; all from a fall at work. There were many moments during that struggle when I wondered if I could ever live life without being confined to bed on so many medications.

Tangled no more

Spider webs. There is something about spider webs that has always fascinated me.

Just the thought of having a spider in the house creeps me out. (Quinton can tell you all about my general reaction to bugs!). But that aside, it’s incredible what an incy wincy spider can put together in no time.

What starts of as a couple of lines can quickly turn into a very intricate wall-hanging of sorts around the house…especially if you don’t keep up with housekeeping on a regular basis. Pretty cool to look at, but it’s a deadly trap for other insects.

When only Love can make a way

This birthday is special. And it is one that I plan to celebrate well. It is the first birthday since God instantly healed me of a degenerative condition with no medical cure about 6 months ago on Jan. 23rd, 2011.

Among the multitude of blessings that He has showered me with, I thank God for the prayers that He has answered and for His grace that has brought me so far.

More importantly, I thank God for every single request that I have ever asked of Him that He chose not to answer no matter how much I whined, complained and protested about it.

Sounds strange, doesn’t it? This takes me back to my teen years, which was no easy road.
